Every May, the Oregon Humane Society puts on their biggest (and arguably, best) event at Tom McCall Waterfront Park called Doggie Dash. Thousands of people (and pups) gather for good food, fun games, and a walk/run to benefit the organization.
One of the many ways to participate in Doggie Dash is by fundraising. Some of the top fundraisers this year won pet portrait sessions with NJP, and Scout and Roxy’s “mom”, Tanya, was one of them. Thanks to Tanya’s hard work and dedication to helping the pets of OHS, Scout, Roxy, and I got to spend some time down at the Columbia River playing in the water and capturing some beautiful images. What a blast we had!
Scout is an older gal, but you’d never know it by the gumption with which she goes after her bumper. And her big brown eyes never fail to melt my heart.
Roxy is as energetic and fun as you’d expect a young lab to be. I think she would have spent all day on that beach, given the choice.
Both were so attentive and a joy to photograph. I hope you enjoy their antics and sweet faces as much as I did.
